As for doves I havent' been paying too close of attention, but I know I saw a ton of doves at the Gilmanor event last fall... I'd be willing to bet that they'll be there again on May 2nd's event.

Where is the swap at ? Ive heard at the feed store than also at TSC store. They don t have enought room at TSC...

Shaaaaaaaron.... I think I'm making trouble over here.

It's my understanding that there are two swaps this weekend (Saturday, April 18th).

One at Ms. Hertzlers feed store and the other is at the Powhatan Tractor Supply store's parking lot.

Sharon was telling me that the swap at the TSC store is supposed to be busier than the one at Ms. Hertzlers feed store... so I was personally thinking of going to the TSC event first, and then if I didn't have much luck in finding anything, go onto Ms. Hertzlers to see if those folks over there have a better selection.

Sorry to everyone if I've made matters worse - I'm good at confusing things.

Could someone let me know if this is a good place for a newbie who doesn't have anything to swap but is interested in chicks? Can the little fuzzy butts be purchased, and if so, is this a good place to get started or better for folks with more knowledge/background?

This would be a fun event...I still need to get a couple of nice Black Orps...but I have GOT to finish the coop this week-end. ( I'm counting on some help coming for a change)..hopefully, I'll have another chance to meet some of my fellow VA chicken lovers..
