I am in southwest Va (past va tech university) and I am looking for other virginians that might want to join in an order to holderreads with me. I am wanting to get a sebastopol boy but I don't want 4 (minimum order).

I will be traveling through virginia on my way to DC the 30th of March. Hopefully if I can get the order by then, then I'd be able to deliver the babies. Check out holderreads website to see if there is a gosling you'd be interested in and join me on my order..you can send me a PM.

Hi, everyone! Newbie from Powhatan, here!

Just purchased our (well, my!) first chicks last week, and we started the coop at the weekend. We lucked out with some free lumber and roofing from a friend who'd demolished an old shed to build a bigger one. Poor DH is trying to keep the coop small so I can't go chicken crazy! LOL

I just found this thread and wanted to add that I am in Roanoke! We have 8 Chickens. 3 Buff Orpingtons, 1 Silver Spangled Hamburg, 2 Buff Black tailed Japanese Bantams, one white black tailed JB and a solid white JB. Also a boxer, chihuahua, a Alexandrine Parrot, Conure, Cockatiel, and Parrotlet. A cat, a frog, fish tank, hubby and 2 little girls! lol

I live in a rural area called St. Stephens Church. I'm about halfway between Richmond and Tappahannock.
I have about a dozen mutts but I'm starting to raise purebred Barred Rocks and Buff Orpingtons.
