Chickens are grand!
Hello neighbor! You're very close to me I'm in Stanardsville, right on the Greene/Madison line (Middle River area). Welcome to BYC, let me know if your lacking on chicken chatting friends, I'm always looking for a few more buddies to swap eggs/chicks and stories with
Also, while I'm here Would anyone close to Madison/Ruckersville/C'ville be interested in doing an egg swap? I have some nice b/b/s Silkies (there are a couple of blue creams in there too), and I'd really like to add a few nice frizzled Cochin bantams to their little flock! Thanks!
I know it's early.... but I got my great big desk calendar today and I was going through it marking important dates...
Does anyone know when the Spring Gilmanor Swap will be this year?
Spring swap is 05/04/2013
Fall swap should be 09/21/2013.
we will see y'all there if all plans go right.
I SOOO want some green and/or blue egg layers!! Is anyone coming to Gilmanor that can hook me up???
there's plenty of time till then... are you looking for chicks, started pullets, etc? purebred ameraucana, araucana, or easter eggers?
easter egger chicks, i can do that... and creatively at that. LOL
my EE roo is an oddity. he's crested and feather footed to boot. there's some silkies back a ways in his lineage i think. he's essentially semi-splash laced -ish? lol
i've also got 4 girls, each very pretty and unique IMO.
i can also produce dorking/ee crosses. usually have 5 toes, fast growing and LARGE, if you want something you can also eat down the road LOL...
here are some pics...
Weeble, the roo

and this girl who won't pose LOL
I just have to compliment you on your photography! That is a great shot!
