Good Morning Virginia! How'd everyone make out yesterday? We got 1/4" of ice then 3" of snow. Worst part is the 13 degree temp this morning!! Hope everyone and their flocks are good!

some days I wonder why I left florida... then I remember the crappy attitudes of the transplanted Yankees... (then again, I'm a yankee by birth, but I got here quick as I could!)

I love Florida but wouldn't be able to leave my kids or grand kids! Lol. My boys farm so they'll never go with me. Glad you got here too! Virginia's great if you love a different weather pattern every couple of days.

LOL you get that no matter where you live I think... even in florida...

and I loved the location, the weather, proximity to the ocean, all that, I just didn't like so many people with such bad attitudes... now depopulate the state and it might be livable again, but they've paved over all the pastures that were there when I was a kid, so ...

Saw this yesterday and it's Oh-So-True about Virginia. Well, at least it keeps us from getting bored! Minus 2 degrees this morning.

The girls aren't happy - won't come out of the coop because of the snow we got yesterday - but they all seem to be doing well.

9 inches of snow in Manassas and some ice underneath. My chickens are doing ok and they finally made there way back in the coop; silly birds spent the night out in the chicken run.

(it's safe from predators don't worry...and it's covered)
