Maria,
I don't recall seeing anyone selling actual food - like a meal.. Although I believe a couple of years ago there was funnel cake... ??? Or am I mixing it up with the state fair?? Anyway, there is plenty of room to picnic where you park. And there is usually a few folks selling things like jellies and relishes, etc.
There isn't any sort of 'plan' to the whole thing - that's part of the fun. The vendors are 'first come, first space grabbed'. You might have someone selling day-old chicks next to someone selling jellies and soaps next to someone selling pigletts next to someone selling adult peacocks next to someone selling plant....
Um... I don't recall seeing a potty..... Does anyone else???
Just come with a 'roll with it' attitude and don't be shy. If you see something that grabs your interest, ask the closest person if it's theirs and off you go.

Oh, and I know that there is a thread on Gilmanor over in the Chickenswaps area, but this is more lively, so forgive me if I shouldn't be posting here.

Is there food at this swap? If it is as large as I hear, my crew is going to need some sustenance. Anything substantial to eat, like ribs and cornbread or - dare I say it - chicken? Is there room to picnic?

Maria

if I remember they did have a grill going last year, but I brought my own. there's also someone that usually has muffins and such but they're pricey.(captive audience).

yeah there are a few port-a-turdletts around... but I suggest stuffing some extra Kleenex, napkins, etc in your purse... they run out pretty quick. LOL

people came down from Pennsylvania last year.

WOW!!, that must be a big swap. I guess people are as serious for chicken as they are rabbits...

I went to a rabbit show in Greensboro, NC. And there we're people from PA and I think Arkansas!!
