No privacy around here! The BO refused to share and stayed there for hours until the BLP just couldn't wait. Yep, BO stole the egg afterwards and the kids were laughing at my comment of 'you may lay here in return of last laid egg only!'

if you're talking about Christiansburg, it's the first Saturday of the month.

rumor had it, at the Roanoke swap last Saturday,, that it would be at the stock yards, but I haven't been able to verify that yet... if anyone wants to call around and ask. my swaps may be limited from now on, at least in the short term, as I got a job but it'll include Saturdays for at least the next month. I might be able to get by early, but work will start at 11:30 so I'd have to get home and cleaned up in time to get back to work.

Rocky Mount, Franklin County is close so I will give it a try in hopes of rehoming Fly-Ties & Phoenix Bantams. Hopefully someone will want to trade utilitarium birds for my show birds.

I'm not that person, but would like to see pics of your cochins?  lost most of my calico/mille girls this last spring and his one girl left is a bit ragged, to put it mildly. no wonder she stays broody. LOL  even tho he's got 2 other different colored girls to keep him company right now.

and I have a pair of buff orp chicks available as well.

i'll be at the Roanoke swap with them this Saturday.

Hi karen, I have several calicos I hatched and have been holding back for about 1-3 months now, I have decided to let them go also. If you or anyone else wants them we could trade for white orpingtons or I will sell. I will get pics out but for some reason my phone pics are not posting to the BYC site. I updated my phone and it has misbehaved. Not sure. If you or anyone else decides to swap or buy I can take them to Martinsville Chicken swap 1st Sat of Aug. Mostly white with red, gold and black flecks. One roo and three pullets 1 to 3 months of age.

well, today was my first day of work. LOOOONG day. LOL then again, it started at the DMV at 8am to get my motorcycle titled, then to the hubby's work to swap vehicles (he's working on the exploder), then up the interstate from Roanoke to Christiansburg by 11:30. off at 8:30, home by 9.

but the good news is, i'll get my exploder back tomorrow, the brakes, tires and oil filter have been ordered for the bike, and now I'm researching body shops that do GOOD paint jobs. and find a non-dented tank to paint.
