Th
did you go to c'burg this weekend or are you referring to the last one they had 2 months ago?

This weekend We went to Martinsville and that was not very good. People told us the city had just voted chickens out of the city limits. Guess that sort of made us unpopular. TSC was happy we were there.

Maybe you will come and I will see you there.
I heard it was really big the last time and I plan to take the last two Fly-Tie I have there. But then again....I might keep bc there are only a handful of people in America that raise Authentic Fly-Ties.

I doubt I will be in any NC locations... too far for me! But i will keep tabs on the ones along 81 here. ;)
what are fly ties?

My reasons why I will be there. Lots have heard about it, hopefully there will be lots there. I have a few out of the ordinary feathered friends that are lost on those just wanting a RIR. I am hoping there will be others with out of the ordinary. BTW I just ordered RIR's and they will not be shipped till end of Oct! I love the usual faire too. I can appreciate each bird of feather for their own unique purpose either ornamental or utilitarian. I am looking for one white and one red cochin bantam females of any age.

Oh my, just paid for my new glasses and sunglasses. The prices have gone up expotentially since my last two last pairs. They offered me lens I will be able to see with or a couple of steps down, glass lens I will only be able to see out of like looking thru drinking straws. I just dont remember the old place I used to do business at make me such an offer. The prices... -x-x- instead of -o-o-.

glad my chickens. Dont need glasses. I was told I am obsessed with my chickens on Sunday.

take the prescription, tell the store to put it ... *somewhere* and then take the 'scrip and go to www.zennioptical.com

I've been getting glasses there for the last... 8 or 9 years.

takes 3-4 weeks or so for bifocals, but single vision was like 2-3 weeks, if I remember.

I just ordered 2 pairs of auto-tinting bifocals, cost me $120. total. not per pair. single vision start around $7 each (I recommend the anti-glare coating for another $5)

That would b a lot of yummy chicken dinners! (Says she who is very relieved that she has a hubby who doesnt mind doing the honors. :-/ )
Ah yes, but the testosterone in the coop is getting to be too much… and the amount of meat for the amount of work on them… I am losing my patience LOL. They are almost 15 weeks.

I guess the rooster games are getting to you?

With a lot of roosters, there is always an excess of hormones as noted and drama! I have a number of young cream legbar cockerels with huge combs already and only two months old trying to breed the absolutely not ready pullets. Too much wear and tear on the poor girls! Separation is happening and caponization is coming!
