The breeder we bought our chickens off of said we should give the chickens vitamin B12 for winter time..Is that something in your guys experience is needed/necessary? They seem very healthy, and the eggs we are getting are good quality. I do not want to hurt them by giving them something they don't need! Thanks for the newbie advice!

B12 Cobalamin or B-Complex which contains a variety of B Vitamins?

B12 (and all the other B Vitamins) is a water-soluble vitamin, so any excess would be excreted, so you really can't overdose.

I don't really think there would be any harm if it's something you wish to do and follow the breeders' recommendations.
