Vote for me to help me get my chickens please?

Done! And best of luck! I hope you win!!!

Hello. Would anyone please be so incredibly kind as to please do me a huge favor and send an email, with your name (you may use an alias!) and the subject ''VOTING HEIDI'S CHICKENS'' to '' [email protected] ''
You will be helping me win a grant to finally be able to get my chickens, that I have wanted all my life! Till recently it was illegal here, but our petition to the city worked and we changed those laws last month and now allowed up to 4 chickens here! Never been too big on dogs and cats, but chickens/birds have always delighted me.
Thank you so much with all my heart!

Soon to be chicken owner!!! :D

Thank you so much! I lived in upstate New York for a while too. Had family there in Hammondsport. :) They had farms= grape vineyards for a long time there ..Snyders and Barkleys :) Great group, thanks again so much! :)
Wow! I'm about 45 minutes from Hammondsport. Its beautiful there, My family has vineyards in Penn Yan. Haha It is a small world. I'm not sure if chickens are allowed in Ormond, definitely NOT at the condo! lol. I will have to look into visiting the lagoon in Edgewater. I spend a lot of time on the Halifax river when I'm there. And Blue Springs is always on my list of to do also. Last year a group of 3 manatees came up to me while I was swimming at Blue Springs. I was able to touch them and swim with them for a bit before I got kicked out of the water!

Thanks <3 Am collecting downed wood from hurricane Irma to build the coop and fence posts, and researching the types of housing and fencing I'll need. I'm going to need all the advice I can get. I'll need to make blue-prints. I'm finding things like, make sure there is a perch in front of their nesting boxes, and that it is rounded with no splinters that might hurt their feet, and that they need a certain amount of light to lay eggs etc. I plan to rotate them constantly and use them around my little ''yarden'' to do my weeding so I want to build a portable ''chicken tractor''..The City says they must be housed in the back yard, and my neighbors have trees so my backyard has a lot of shade, and I'm thinking of building their coop with a clear roof to get them more light do you think this is a bad idea? I wonder how much darkness they need at night ..Lots to learn! Will definitely keep you posted! Awesome group!! :) <3 Thank you so much for the warm welcome <3
The perch in front of nesting boxes are a good idea. And as for our chicken coop we have Some clear roofing and some aren't so it doesn't get too hot during the summer. We're making a second chicken coop since we planing on adding 50 more chickens next year so I can share some pics of the outside and interior for some ideas if you want. We're just about done with it just have to finish our nesting boxes and rooster which were using small-ish cut some trees that are about 16 feet long.

Done I have to vote for someone that I share a first name with. :)
Good luck
Question about the grant (sorry I'm a nosey person) that's awesome by the way. who is offering it, what all is included. Will you just get $ to get everything or do they give you a coop (I'm thinking no coop because you are building one), feed, and chickens
Good luck and if you don't win I hop you are still able to get some chickens
