I think the best bet would be a Red sexlinks.I Perosnally like their colors and patterns, they have loads of personalities, lay great, mines started at 4 months, and their Great foragers.BUT, these birds do burn out early, and often die early due to egg issues (4-5) years life expectancy, however, not to be blunt, alotta birds don’t make it last that 5 year mark, but hen again I’ve had several who have, no sexlinks though.Barred rocks are great too.
I have also raised Production Wyandotte’s, NOT show quality but their still beautiful, however their always flighty , but their fit and good egg layers, these bird Astarte slaying around 4-5 months, I have had the Silver laced this year will be my first time owning the gold laced, they act the same. This is all personal experiences.BUT, a lot of it is factual.

my Delaware is pretty loud though so idk if that would be a problem lol and these three also like their personal space lol but they do fine with confinement if they have enough room. My Barred Rock was probably one of my favorite birds ever lol and I really like the other three too. Idk if it’s true but I’ve heard Wyandottes and Sex Links can be a little bit mean or bossy to other birds do with your gentle breeds idk how they’d do although that said, with them being the new ones as opposed to the established ones it might be fine.
