guarantee NO heart attack if I don't eat meat-----you know that isn't correct.

Economic problems with the bill include!

conveintal laying hen practices will not be in CA. which would be lead to an increase in the price of eggs which is a cheap protien source for most of poor america. We produce 72 billion eggs a year

Farmers would leave the state or close down entirely because they would not be able to retrofit their barns or coops.

Prices for free-range meat products will go up like oil prices not down as the organization states. Where there is demand then the price increases to compensate. Example $3.50 for a dozen free range eggs versus $1.50. I know people who dont have an extra $1.50!

The other side of the coin states that organization and PETA would like to ban compainon animals and the farming industry. These people would rather a racoon ripe a chicken apart then see it in a cage/coop.

The AVA does not agree with the bill- American Vet Assco.

No one needs to eat meat. If you combine the proper grains, you get more than enough protein. Plus, you can live to an old age with no heart attacks

'Yes you can get enough protiens but you were born with canines which means you were meant to eat meat at one point. BTW My grandmother lived to 95 and ate meat everyday of her life and never had a heart attack. My veggie friend has been in the hospital more times then I can count on my hand.

Are there some good points yes. I think they deserve more space but we the people will pay for it in the end.

I didn't mean that. But type 2 diabetes, heart attacks, etc. would be WAY down if people didn't eat so much meat, excersized, destressed, etc.

people who choose to be vegetarian/vegan are within their rights, and I don't try to convince them to be meat eaters. On the same note, I don't think it's fair to convince meat eaters to be vegetarian/vegan. I am a meat eater, and I believe that meat animals should be treated fairly. I also believe that there is medical evidence both for and against eating or not eating meat. One way or another it boils down to a person's individual convictions and dietary choices. This bill very well could cause ordinary people who choose to eat meat unable to afford animal products, which is not fair. If this bill forces the agenda of animal rights groups rather than educating people truthfully and allowing them to make their own decision then I would vote against it.

My chickens have about 2.5-4 sq feet per bird inside their coop, and 6-10 inside their run. They are happy and have enough room. They go outside, scratch, dust bathe, etc. They are happy and well cared for. This is not too much to ask. As long as the commercial birds have a decent amount of room inside a cage and/or a decent sized run I would call that even.
