Wow, some people sure can't read and just assume things based on emotion. Has anyone that has actually read the proposal understand what actually would and would not occur. The proposal does not prevent eggs from caged chickens from coming into the state. The university analysis that was pointed out by someone earlier clearly spells out the outcome.
If people want to buy cage free eggs in CA, they can. If they don't care, they will buy the cheaper eggs that will be imported from other states. The only thing that this proposal would do would be to help the egg producers out of state.
