Vultures?

Vultures can be predators particularly black vultures. They are increasing in numbers to a point they do not always find enough carrion. They are resorting to making their own. I have to look out at the water tower before I let my chickens out. Sometimes the vultures will be there waiting. http://www.texasescapes.com/ClayCoppedge/Killer-Vultures.htm

vultures still rarely kill. Rarely does not mean never.

Yeah, vultures are scavengers. They will not kill your chickens. Dont shoot em. Besides, shooting them with a pellet gun may not work. No point in harming or killing an innocent creature who poses no threat to the chickens.

I will google a pic of a black vulture and if it looks like one of them then I will SSS. Its just so weird how it flew right in there and chased my birds into there coop. It would have got worse if I was not home.

Its like the movie birds here where they go psycho

LOl like dolphins with rabies from one crazy summer. If it happens again I will dispatch it. I hate killing things but I have to protect my birds from being attacked or having something jump into there coop.

Thank you. right now we are building the new coop so the birds are in the house. We will see what happens springtime. Also I will be covering the run to prevent this from happening again
