I am getting ready to hatch some Vulturine/Domestic Guinea Fowl eggs. I have read several discussions of Hybrids versus Crosses. I have heard the mating of Vulturine and Domestic Guinea referred to as both. The basic question at the end of the day I have " Is the resulting Vulturine/Domestic Guineas able to reproduce or are they sterile?". I have found articles dating back to the 1930's stating that these "hybrids" are fertile. I have found others that say because they are different species that the resulting Hybrid is sterile (much like a mule). To complicate my research I also have read that the male is sterile and the female fertile.
I know these have been around on ebay and available from several sources for a few years. I am hoping someone will have some first hand experience and give me a definite answer based on experience. The source I got the eggs from say they have not had a crossed pair long enough to test the fertility and can not answer the question with any certainty.
