I've never done that before. Tell me how!!! Regular waxed paper like Cutler?(red and blue box stuff that has been around for eons?)

It works great, I use it for making neckties alot (slicky fabric). Just place waxy side to the fabric, paper side to the iron, takes low heat, let it cool completely before handling, you can reuse, but w/ each reuse it gets a little less "sticky" I have never had it to leave any residue on any fabric.

Well, I tried the wax paper and it wasn't as sticky as I wanted it to be. It's not like the official kind for quilting.

So, I used scotch tape to roll up pieces and stick on the template, making sure to get a piece on all of the toes so they wouldn't slip around. Now that works great!

Also, for cutting out the toes, it is easier to cut up one side of the toe and then cut up the other side of the toe. Then, clip the end of the toe. Much, much easier than trying to cut in a continuous piece.

This is wax paper or freezer paper? Only waxed paper I know is waxy on both sides.

Freezer paper.

Today is a sewing day.. maybe even a marathon

Just not enough time in the day yesterday to make any progress. Busy with ear tagging lambs and then a small coop project (took hours) and moved my over 40 young chicks from the brooder to a large pen to finish growing out. Once sorted they will either be part of the egg laying group or in their own ark by breed. Today I am sewing! Who else is busy at the machine? I hope I'm not the only one sewing until my back says STOP!

ETA---Didn't work on the Gecko's today. Haven't decided on which stitch to use on them. New machine has 24 to choose from, lol.
Worked on this instead.
