Wacky crooked coop

Wonder if you could find an old boat on Craigslist and start from there. Heck, wonder if I could turn an old boat into a pirate coop...... Huh......

My Dad has bent wood for furniture by soaking it in water until it is bendy...I think he used clamps, weights and just stuff he had around his shop to shape it while it dried.

Linoleum - what a great idea. I have a concrete floor for easy washing. So many sofisticated coops on this site I feel like I shouldnt have started until I had seen them. Too late - Mine is brick on 3 sides weld mesh on the front. Harvy tiles on top. A few wooden wooden boards with plastic nest boxes. Easy cleaning. and a perch.
Why do the chickens always try to crowd on top of each other when wanting to sit in the nesting box when there are 3 others? Should I be putting in dummy eggs to encourage them to use more boxes? they free range and are locked up in here at night from about 5.30pm to about 5am. I dont put food or water in at night to discourage mice etc(even though there is no space for a mouse at night they tended to be in there while the door is open during the day) Been like this for about 2 years- All healthy good eggs

Despite running a fever my husband went out yesterday and put up the roof board. Poor man. He had such a hard time of it. It is a rather complicated process since nothing is square and it is hard to think when you are sick. he is currently curled up on the couch looking miserable.

Not really close...but Lady Faeden on here has them and she ships. They are reasonable.

Oooh...I will be checking in with her once my coop is done!
