Wacky crooked coop

They aren't nearly as covered in paint as my sister and I were at their ages when we helped paint.

LOL! They had just started. You should see the little one now. He painted his nose on purpose. So he had paint all over his face, in his hair, his eyebrows. But they are having a blast. Little me just quit. It is 90 degrees out and he got too hot. But my six year old is fetching ice water and still painting. He is such a patient kid and he loves his chickies.

It sure is a wacky coop! Cant wait to see the finished product.

Hubby is helping with a joust show, so no work on the coop. :(

I picked out a couple paint chips at the store the other day. Gold with a green trim. Then realized that was almost exactly the colors n my living room and foyer.

I enjoyed reading all the posts about you coop coming together. It reminded me of my hubby building ours when my son asked for 6 chickens. lol. You said your hubby builds props. My hubby owns a builders supply. Funny...Mine doesn't actually build the stuff. He just sells it. So, I understood the hammer throwing and swearing. lol. The worst part for ours was the staples for the run. That was awful. We ended up with 60+ chickens. We currently have 16 that live in the coop, happily. The others are chicks that are awaiting new homes. If they don't find their new home, I guess we'll have to throw some more hammers.

I want it!!!! But, with all the hammer throwing while building an 8X8 shed package, that will not be built in my yard if everyone wants to live to see it finished
