Wadley Quail Farm...?

Oh and i looked up on the Department of Fish and Game website for my state and there is a registered game bird breeder in my city and so i called the number... no answer

so I decided to drive by and all i could do was laugh (because i have been trying so hard to find something local)

it was some strange little house near a trucking yard but there were no birds there..... just construction equipment which is strange because the website is current and their
license is up to date

This has been a frustrating process but im determined so we shall see...

Thanks Again to everyone you have been really helpful!!!

Where in SoCal are you? You could try calling up Magnolia Bird Farm or Bracken Bird Farm. They may know of some breeders as they have quails from time to time.

I just recently got 2 dz. georgia giants from Wadley Quail Farm and they were packaged great! They haven't hatched yet because I JUST got them but I'm glad to hear that there is an over 50% hatch rate!

I have 14 Georgia giant eggs in my incubator from wadley. Took 3 days to get here to central texas. Not a single egg cracked in transport.

Can somebody tell me how long it took for their quail from Wadley to hatch? Just curious because most people say 23-25 but their quail probably weren't from Wadley.

How can that possibly make a difference? That's like saying the gestation period for most women is 9 months, but if they are from somewhere special

8 months?

Haha I understand that they wont hatch early like a magic egg. It was just a joke/random question that I was curious about-like did most of your quail hatch at day 23? 24? 25? just curious

Hatching times all depend on the consistency of your incubator. If the incubator is to cold it increases the time to hatch. If it's to warm they may hatch early but you have a decreased survival rate. 99.5 is the most consistent temp for a better hatch rate. Also I've heard of some people saying that if you increase temp to 101 it will increase the number of hens to rooster ratio. I don't know how true that last part is.
