Waited as long as I could, need help on gender and at least one breed

I'm not 100% sure the Cochin is a rooster.

I've noticed that a lot of folks make the mistake of calling Barred Cochins, "Barred Rock Cochins." A Barred Rock is a Barred Plymouth Rock, a totally different breed of chicken. Barred is the name of the color pattern.

Not sure about the Barred Cochin but the other two are defintely roosters. I have a BO rooster that is about the exact same age. They look just a like. I also have a female who has barely any comb or wattles to speak of vs his. The last one whatever it is sure does have those long rooster tail feathers.

Yes but wouldn't the barring pattern work the same as in barred rocks? Just asking because I thought that barring pattern worked almost as good as "sex link" coloration. Is this only in the rocks then?

All right....I am chosing to take that as just maybe Harry is Harriet after all! I would really love that first because we have so many rooster and second because he/she is such a sweet chicken.

It won't matter he/she will never make it to The Green Mile aka the chicken tractor and beyond. We have decided that Harry/Harriet stays. That chicken harms none and bothers none.

I just know she is a cochin and we got her accidently with the others. Did not notice the furry feet til we got her/he home.

Keep it comin' ya'll.....someone will look at that bird and know for sure.

Never, never will buy straight run again. It does not matter if they are roo's or hens but you get attached to them somehow.

BR Cochin is almost certainly a hen ....the rest are roosters. For one thing, she doesn't have a rooster tail or a big comb with a extended back portion. For another, I know a hen face when I see one!
