Waiting and waiting....

we have 5 Black sex-link hens that are 21 weeks. We haven't seen any eggs yet. Can anyone tell me when we might expect them? I have read so many different things, it is confusing. I can't wait!

If it's hot where you are, that may be delaying them a little. If their combs have reddened recently, and / or if they "squat" when you approach, it should be very soon. Does your setup allow them to hide the eggs?

It has been in the upper 80s to low 90s. I put a frozen gallon jug of water in there in the run so they can "snuggle" next to it but so far they act like it is some alien being. LOL! Only one has a really red comb, the others are coming along. They don't have anywhere to hide the eggs. I put golf balls in the nesting boxes but I am not sure they have ever even gotten in them.
