Waiting for the doctor to call! (UPDATE, pg. 2)

I'm glad you now know what you are dealing with. There are a lot of advances in treating kidney problems. As mentioned be proactive in your medical care. My BIL was diagnosed with renal cell carcenoma (kidney cancer) and had the kidney removed. Being a diabetic his other kidney wasn't working enough so he is on dialysis. But life without wouldn't be long.
 
I am glad you know what you are dealing with, but sorry it wasn't something easily put right.

Sorry to hear of the pain and not-fun procedures in your future. But it can be managed, and I just know you're a tough enough cookie to do it with style. Sending hugs and an extra dose of tough. (My FIL dealt with renal failure for many years - gracefully)
