She let me look, one all dry and bopping around.

How many eggs did she have?

Started with 7, 3 were clear and removed on Day7...today is Day20.

There are 2 out and dry, both have headspots

Confirmed one hatched!! Still under mom drying and couple more shells are starting to zip. Today is day 20 as well. Pics in the morning.

At lock up saw 3 chicks.....all males
1 egg left, haven't been out there yet.

I haven't a clue the exact count that's hatched as I can't see past her toes when I get her to raise up. Has a couple eggs that haven't hatched yet (as expected), but is still hunkered down on everyone. She's being a great Momma though. Babies are starting to venture out. I have food and water close by.

Same! .. Gerty seems to have been enjoying having food all to herself. Up to yesterday she's been cleaning her bowl. (I've been throwing in extra goodies to entice her .. the mac-n-cheese yesterday didn't do it for her, though). She sat tight .. I will say, though she grumbles a lot, she's not aggressive toward us. I can reach right under her and grab an egg. She's not happy about it, but she's doesn't so much as offer to peck my hand either. Is this any inclination at all to the type of mom she's going to be?

Not sure....but I think it's important to be able to handle broody, and her chicks,
sticking your hand under there is a good way to get her used to you and learn you're not going to hurt her.

I'm getting the brooder set up today in case she's not good mama.
