Good Morning!!

Spent my entire day yesterday perfecting the new hen house for my 6 new residents (in between all the rain drops), and boiling down sap for maple syrup. Got all but 2 turkey fryers full done, so one more day of boiling to go and Syrup season for me will finally be over!!! Thank goodness cause it was a late start this year due to the weather.

Think i need an extra cup of coffee this morning just to get myself going....

yep its morning already. 6:21 to be exact Making syrup is a really long process but really worth the effort! We just make it for ourselves but its a big opperation around my area here in Pa! At least 5-8 families mass collect and sell to the public! I know my friend from Wilsons syrup actually ships his all over the place!

Well depending on how wet it is will depend on what i do lol. Theres a chance for some more rain today but Im hopeful the sun will come out a finally begin drying it up around here. with all the snow we've had its a nasty mess! But I will tend to the animals (chickens and Rabbit right now, since we've only been living at this house for 4 months), then work on boil the last 2 fryers of sap. I don't make a living yet off the land, as we just moved here in december, but once we can finally start getting gardens going and clean the area up I will make a little from it.
