Clyde, lay his head on his paws, thinking while staring into the bright flames. There was a question he was itching to ask her, but he was to scared to ask.
Sorren growled, and started growing. He transformed into a huge gray bear, matching the brown bear's size and strength. "Kisha get out of here!" Sorren commanded, standing on his two hind paws.
Kisha gasped, and backed away slowly, her tail between her legs. she backed up untill she was behind the foliage of thick bushes. she didn't want to get in the way, but she didn't want to leave sorren either.
Ice stayed quiet, watching the flames. they dazzled her, just like Clyde's eyes.
Sorren looked behind him to make sure Kisha was safe, but suddenly felt stars in his head. The bear had swung a giant paw at him. He attacked back, knocking the bear to the ground.
Clyde shifted his paws. "Maybe I can build another nest for me, or we could make that nest bigger," he suggested.
Kisha shrieked. she didn't like seeing sorren get hurt. burning with fury and the will to fight, her gold markings glowed brilliantly. she sprung at the bear's back, clamping her jaws on the nape of its neck.
Ice looked at Clyde. "making it bigger is a good idea" she said. she stood up and shook herself off. "there should be plenty of pelts outside. that's a good thing about Hollyleap's pelt-gathering obsession" she smiled and laughed.
Sorren's eyes got wide. "Kisha!" he groaned, his vision blurred. The bear yelped, scrambling away.
Clyde laughed with her, standing up and shaking his dark, rough fur.
Kisha dropped to her paws, standing tall, growling at the retreating bear. Hackles up, lips pulled back in a snarl, revealing fangs dripping with the bear's blood. she continued this stance untill the bear was out of sight.
Ice walked out and to the pelt pile. she found several fluffy deer fawn pelts, rolled them up with her paws, and picked them up. the pile she was carrying was big and heavy, and two of the pelts dropped.
Sorren was determined to stay strong. He stood up, and dragged himself to Kisha's side.
Clyde noticed she was struggling, and padded over. "Here, let me get that," he offered, taking the pelts from her. He carried them easily into the den.
