Moondrop's ice blue eyes skimmed the other side of the lake. She saw Genba, but said nothing.

Hougen woke up then went out the hunt

Then Moondrop stood up. She put one black paw on the ice surface. It cracked. She looked down into the water. Then she jumped. She swam down, and snapped at a fish. It squirmed in her jaws. She broke the surface of the water. Then, dripping wet, she put the fish out of it's misery. She sat down and gazed at Genba again.
