Walking My Duck

Wait. Can you really do that????
Maybe. I saw another you tube video where the young lady was teaching a muscovy to perch on her arm. Muscovies can roost, so it would be possible. Tiring I imagine - well for me and my weak arms.
Plus, you would want long gloves to keep their claws from digging in. Maybe teach it to ride on your shoulder - wearing a diaper of course. :lau

Ohh yeaaa… thanks for the info…..Mwhaha

Maybe take him to a quiet park or something. I don’t keep ducks indoors but if you are scared of people spooking him then you should probably take him somewhere that their isn’t much people/ animals. A neighborhood dog could snatch him too.
This. I have a Pekin drake that i take for walks on a leash. For safety reasons it's kinda mandatory because of cars, dogs, etc. and really why take the risk when you can ensure his safety. I use a adjustable nylon body harness for a small dog and a 4 ft. leash. Mine loves it although my hens aren't a fan so i do believe it takes a little bit to get used too. Also a leg band would be a great idea just in case something were to happen that would separate you guys.

Also another idea would be to put a harness (without a leash) on him with some small dog tags with your info on it just in case something were to happen as not everyone can read leg bands.
