I do not live in a walkable neighborhood, but I got a free walking pad for Christmas last year. Love that thing! I was trying to do a mile a day at brisk speed, but I've been slacking lately. Need to get back into it.

Well, less than usual (only night walks not morning last few days) BUT! Still more than previously so still a lot lol

I usually go 4,000 to 6,000 and occasionally up to 8,000 or a tiny bit over or under. I hit over 8,000 one day last week and then in the 7,000s a couple more times LOL

Fell short - ended the day with 9,160 steps, but the good news is that my hip seems to be getting better.
