Hey guys,
I've got 4 wooden pallets and I'm currently attempting to create my first coop. I have assembled the crates how I would like them but clearly there are holes between slates. Would it be wise for me to get more pallets, dissemble them and 'fill' the holes or is there another type of material I could put around it?

Cheers :)

Most people will say yes that either get a few pallets and fill in the holes or even 1x4s cut to the length u need and tack them up....I myself have a pallet coop but bevause of where I live I honestly dont have many predators... im in florida and yes we have alot of predators but I dont live in the country I live in the city.... my biggest concern is cats and one rouge hawk.. lol... I have my own xats manxs and they go out there and sleep with the chickens so I havent had the need to fill the gaps in my coop my cats.watch out for the chickens

Pulling pallets apart and backing the nails out so you can use the lumber can be a real pain. I'd see if you can find some scrap plywood for free or cheap and cover the pallets. Seems like the easier route.
