OK so our walmart out here sells Family Farm Egg Maker 15 crumbles. It says it has niacin, b12, thiamine, riboflavin. They sell it for $11 a bag I get it for my chickens anyways. Do you think it would be ok for my ducks or would I need to put more niacin in it

11 bucks for a 50 pound bag? That is a great price. I would still add niacin to their drinking water, since ducks need more of it.

And here I was thinking wow that is high!

we pay $7.00 for a 50lb bag of layer crumbles from the feed mill. (and they just raised their price--was $6.25!)

we only have one feed store. Last time I went I got a 50 pound bag and a little bag of chicken grow maybe a 10 pound bag and the price came to $28

Interesting. I pay 14.95 for a 50 pound bag at my feed store. I buy Nutrena Naturewise poultry grower/developer crumbles. My feed store has also it's own brand for half the price, but it is not the right mix for my ducks and I don't feel like mixing it myself.

Thats the brand I normally buy but Im just asking because I have chickens and it would be easier to feed them all the same feed. I dont want to feed my chicken the duck feed due to the price I have to pay for the duck feed and I dont want to mix it like you

You can feed them all the same once they are little bit older. They still will need additional niacin, which the chickens can have too. Niacin is water soluble so you cannot really overdose the chickens. You can either sprinkle extra brewers yeast over the food or just buy poult pak and mix it into the drinking water for all of them. One thing you have to consider is that ducks will make a mess out of the food. They like to mix it with water, because it is easier for them to eat that way. One way to discourage the mess is having the food and water separated by several feet.
