Walnut comb x single comb = ?

If you cross a walnut combed breed with a single combed breed, am I correct in thinking you SHOULD get all walnut combed offspring? (Or am I not using the "comb calculator" correctly?) (And of course the "offspring" could produce multiple comb types themselves depending on what they were bred to.)

Not sure about the genetics but when I did this cross twice (both silkie x single comb breeds) I got some walnut and rose comb, which oddly were all the cockerels hatched. One pullets had almost no comb which made me think possible pea comb
