In my frantic and extensive googling about the sex of my BR, I read that the pullets often develop faster than the roos. Could be the case here?
I have *no* idea what that chick is, but I do want to mention the bird underneath them. It looks to me like that bird is a barred rock cockerel. If the chick in the first two photos we were talking about *is* also a barred rock like they told you, I think I'd wait a few more weeks to see if it grows into that comb. It's got very dark feathering, unlike the one hanging out with the friend with the big chest stripe - that one seems to have a lot of white, probably from the double barring gene in the males. (That one also has a pretty red comb.)
Maybe check back in in a week or two? If you can get some clear pictures of the bird from the side and the front at that time, I know folks that know way more than me should be able to tell you more.
