And any color of the 30+ different colors of Guineas can be Pied, except the pure Whites, obviously. The degree of Pied (the amount of white on the chest and wings) can vary also, from slightly Pied to heavily Pied. I hatch Pieds in at least 15 different colors out of one of my breeding flocks, Heavily and slightly Pied... And hopefully more than that this season. So yah, Pieds are common, especially for those of us who have Pieds and pure Whites in our flocks.
I love seeing all the pics! I wish I had my camera this evening when I was patiently escorting my 6 guineas (the Lavendar Wave) across my yard to their house, thru snow that is higher than their backs, calmly stopping every minute or two so they can warm their feet and catch their breaths...thinking that I should have plowed a path for them...when it hits me...These suckers can FLY! What the heck??![]()
