I have 4 arucanas just starting to lay weve had 2 small green eggs and I have 4 white leg horns white eggs they started laying early at 17-18 weeks. I have 3 black sex links big brown eggs. and 2 goldensexlinks I thiink they are laying the speckeld brown eggs Im getting. And 1 large handsome Black Sex Link ROOOOO than wasnt supposed to be..But he is a goog lookin little bugger. My GSL's and arucanas are the best looking birds I have......
I have 1 arucana with a crooked beak and it seams while looking for help with that problem that alot of arucanas have that problem didnt see many other breeds having that issue just something to think about. Mine dose ok but requires a little xtra work to keep it healthy good luck

temperament should be more for you than the other chickens. all chickens will get along with time. (excepted roos) For size wise I would keep them as close as possible but kee[ing large breeds and bantams separate would be good enough.

i have run bantams and large breeds together for 15 years, not a problem. by bantam, I am not refering to minibantams like silky or sebright, but I did have some Jap bantams in the same pen.. wouldn't suspect any problems... matter of fact, some of my banti hens were the meanest of all

Blue laced red wyandotte is a great choice they're so beautiful and they come in a range of colors (right now). Even the classic silver laced is beautiful too not too mention the gold.I love easter eggers, those also come in a range of colors and colors of eggs. The epitomy of variety. I have a BLRW, EE, white leghorn, silver leghorn (I think... we'll see when she lays), and Blue Andalusian. Right now I'm in the quarantine process of introducing the BLRW and EE to the other girls. The BLRW is sooooo sweet though. I wish I could add more, my ultimate flock including my girls- a Black Frizzle, Barred Rock, Copper Maran, lavender orpington, white crested blue polish. But I don't show and I only like them for my own aesthetic purposes and for their eggs. And, if you really want variety get a duck!Theyre so much fun. But definitely get a domestic breed. I had a wild mallard that I found as a day old, and raised her. But a soon as she learned to fly I never see her anymore
