Lol...ya'll are funny hiding under the chair! Just so you will feel better about the hay, I will explain! The outer layer will be used for dog bedding! The inside is perfectly fine and will be fed to the cows! None wasted!

Very cute!!
I would NOT use the outter layer for dogs.. I would compost it. what if the paint comes off on the dogs? Also as it breaks down it could leave paint residue on the dogs, in their kennels...
YOu could compost it around trees or use it on the outside of coops or where wind might get in...
