Want to build a hoop coop, but I don't have cattle panels!

I want to build a traditional hoop coop, but I don't live in an area that sells them and ordering them online is ridiculous! I want a stationary hoop coop and have plenty of room for one. I have a total of seven chickens, 2 hens and 5 three-week old chicks. Two red sex-link hens, and a mix of chicks - cuckoo marans & olive eggers.

Does anyone have any advice on what type of fencing I could use instead of cattle panels? Ideally I'd like to make the coop at least 6 feet wide by 10 feet long.

Where do you live that cattle panels aren't available?

Cattle panels would still need some sort of tigher-mesh fence (like hardware cloth) to keep predators from reaching through the open holes.

Just make a hoop structure out of something else, then cover with fencing material/hardware cloth. I'd look toward: PVC, rebar or conduit pipe for the basic structure, then attach the fencing.

Smack-dab in Silicon Valley (San Jose, Ca). There’s a Tractor Supply about 40 miles south, but that’s it!
I didn’t think about conduit pipe. That would be super easy to attach to the 2 x 4 base I’m planning on. I’ve got 2 x 6’s I’m recycling from a fence. I’ve already got the corrugated roof material, metal garden fencing and the hardware cloth. I wondered around HomeDepot kind of making it up in my head. Thanks for the tip!!

Lots of them! But, no one carries them within a 50 mile radius and they don’t ship them.

Mine doesn't have the in store. I'd look at the 40 mile drive.

Tractor Supply does have them, but I’m not able to transport them and I’m too far for delivery. I’m thinking of building a frame with 2 x 4’s to attach to a raised 2 x 6 plywood covered floor. I’ve got raccoons and I don’t need midnight diggers.

The ones that have them are over 50 miles away. I’m surprised I can’t order them to be delivered to my store. I have three stores with 3-5 miles from me too.
