Just some of my family names. I like the "old" ones.

We were all raised strict Irish Catholic. Started a new tradition- using the mom's patron saint (confirmation name) as a middle name at least once. So my last son is Daniel Francis- after St.Francis of Asissi.
I know alot of people now are using mom's maiden name as middle names too.

I like the "old" names. Miranda, Rose, Helen, William, Harrison etc.

When I named my own kids, I checked out the Top 10 Names list... and crossed those off my own list. I taught a night class a couple years ago. Five out of 25 students were named Megan!

With my last pregnancy, if we were to have a girl I was going to name her Amy Jeanne (Jeanne is my mother's and mother-in-law's middle name), but we had a boy whom we named Nathan Christopher (Christopher came from the 1st name of a Marine Corp cousin of mine who was killed in Iraq).

The other boy name we were considering was Mason Ashby (Ashby is my grandfather's first name - his full name is Ashby Moncure Morris - how's that for a mouthful! Growing up he either went by A.M., which fits since he's a morning person or Ash).
