Want to use my broody - what to get?

I have a broody I want to use to raise 10-12 meaties.
I've "grafted" chicks on her before,shes a good mamma. I would like to get Freedom Rangers, but minimum order is 25 and next available date is Aug 17, so they are out. I don't want Cornish X.

What should I get instead and where? This is my first time raising meat birds. And we prefer dark meat to breast (another reason I don't want Cornish X).

I got 14 Red Broilers from Ideal and met their minimum purchase requirements.

Geese are considered as dark meat, you could get some

Ideal is sold out on Red Broilers, but have Black Broilers. Has anybody raised them?

There are Rosambros and kosher Kings. Those are both fast growing meat chicks

Thanks - after your post I did some searches here on BYC and it looks like the KKs have bigger legs - which is what I wanted.

I found a mention to this hatchery for the KKs - any others? Clearview Stock Farm in PA.
