Wanted chickes to start out with....PA

I've never raised chicken before and I just got enough property that we can. I'm looking for a good breed to start out with.

Are you looking for eggs or chicks? I have RIR's eggs, they are good for our winters here. I have sold my eggs up to Sunday to send out. But if you could wait until next week I would sell you a dozen for $6.oo plus shipping. Sorry I have no chicks for sale.

Standard crosses- (E.E or Junglefowl crosses)
E.E/Silkie-(crosses)
Bantam (OEGB)

As for chicks, I will be hatching out more chicks in a few weeks, under my hens. I don't promise gender, or a good hatch. Some of the chicks will be buff Silkies, the rest will be crossed.

As for older birds(all hens except Brahmas)- I will be getting rid of a lot of birds later on this fall, including-
Buff Brahmas- (hatched in April from Ideal)
Barred Rocks- (just turned one year from TSC)
1 Rhode Island Red- (3-4 year from McMurry)
1 White Rock- (3-4 year from McMurry)
1 Lt. Brahma- (3-4 year from McMurry)

All these hatched this spring/summer and are still chicks, but not newborns.
Silkie/E.E crosses
Old English Game/Silkie crosses
Silkies (buff)- not promised
Gamefowl (B.B Red)- not promised
Old English Game Bantams- not promised
Easter Eggers (most likely black)
