"Hi" to you, too

I used to work at that golf course. It is a beautiful area, when we're not covered by several feet of crusty, dirty old snow, lol.

Hi Greathorse!
Coeur d'Alene is not an easy word to spell. We've lived here since 1996 and still have to think about it when I write it out!

It means "Heart of an Awl" I believe because the Indians drove a hard bargain when trading with the French.

Idahodebra, I've had it with the dirty snow or ice or whatever the heck it is, too.
Did you have eggs shipped to you this winter? Was the viability pretty good with your shipped eggs?

Being up here in the corner of the country I get worried that we live far for shipped eggs coming from east of the Rockies.
But I'm new to this and am not making this statement from any personal experience.
Have you guys have good luck with eggs shipped from quite a distance?
Carolyn

I've had eggs shipped from Virginia and Connecticut that have been close to 50% which is good for shipped eggs. I have eggs coming from 7 different breeders all over the country the beginning of March so I'll keep you posted on how those do. My incubation has improved so I am excited to find out how good my percentages are now.

I'll enjoy watching all of your hatchings. I'd love to have some Marans, Welsummers, Orpingtons, Ameraucanas...so keep me on your lists as the time comes.

Yes, the weather this year is for the birds. It's very surprising that we're getting rain right now but, hey, that's better than more SNOW!!!

Buster, I can hardly wait to see what you come up with all those eggs coming in. Carolyn, keep us posted on those babies due on Sunday!! You, too, IdahoDebra!!
