WANTED in Tenneessee-Golden campines !!

I am looking for some golden campines, hopefully close to where I live in Tennesse. Because this is considered to be a rare breed and rated critical in conservation status, it will most likely be impossible to find someone in or near my area that has some for sale.

Anyone?

I have a young roo and 2 hens that I would sale. These are not show quality. They are 4-5 months old and healthy. They are vaccinated for Marek's and coccidiosis. Located in east-central Ky.

heck - just call good ol' Meyers Hatchery - they have them by the bucket load!

we got several in one of their mixed packages. i have to say - with a grin - that there is no wonder these are a rare breed - THEY ARE THE WORST CHICKENS IN RECORDED HISTORY!!! they scream, they flap, they get into everything, they pooped on my hubby's motorcycle - repeatedly.... man!!

hee hee hee actually we could sugar coat it and call them 'spriteful' and 'gregarious.' and they are good layers.

i tried to pawn a couple off on my buddy who has more poultry experience than me - we couldnt take their antics either. the story ends with him asking his son to 'bring daddy the hatchet' and there were a few less GC's left in the world.

we have one 3 year old hen and if you drove up to central ohio to get her i'd give you $10. cash. seriously. i'm driving near Springfield on Aug 15 and i'll save you a couple hrs drive. i'm not kidding.

Sounds like you got a wild bunch! Mine aren't what you'd call calm but they certainly aren't like that.

update:

my hubby has even offered to DRIVE that insane hen over to you - strapped to the motorcycle gas tank or in the saddlebag... hum. maybe not the best option.

Looks like Tonya has a roo, and Ohiofarmgirl has a hen, and they'll both PAY you to take them. Wow. You'll have a whole flock soon. Hope you don't have a motorcycle.

Maybe I should post that I'm looking for rare diamonds.
