I would be honoured to be the first to establish a new colour in Australia! I know the quarantine restrictions are very strict here but going through the proper channels I cant see why it cant be done.

I have a RCom 20 fully automatic bator thats just waiting for some precious peacock eggs

Mr Deerman I have just emailed the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service to find out if it is possible

Well Mr Deerman it looks like my dream of owning some beautiful coloured peafowl from the USA will not be realised

This is part of the reply I received from the Quarantine Service

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the importation of peafoul into Australia.
I regret to inform you that the importation of pet birds into Australia from The United States of America is not permitted.
Pet birds, of selected species, can only be imported into Australia from New Zealand.
AQIS Live Animal Imports manages the import of animals and reproductive material into Australia. AQIS does this by applying import conditions that are determined by Biosecurity Australia and only the animal species and commodities, for which import conditions have been developed by Biosecurity Australia, are allowed into Australia.
Biosecurity Australia has not developed import conditions for peafowl and as such they are not permitted into Australia
