Wanted..pictures of Marans eggs bought from Ideal Poultry

Im thinking about getting some marans from Ideal Poultry, but I wanted to see some pictures of what others looked like. I know they wont be as dark as if I get them from a breeder, but I was hoping they would be darker than my RIR or BO eggs.


Does anyone have pictures of the eggs their chickens lay? Birds you have bought from Ideal.

I got my Marans from Ideal. they are like chocolate! I love em!

I have 2 from Ideal and they are definitely darker than my BOs and RIRs. Similar to Cuckoo4Marans avitar, sorry don't have any of them in a picture.

I am just now starting to get Cuckoo Marans eggs from my October chicks from Ideal. They are NOT darker than my RIR's (same age) I am hoping they darken up, but fear not. The Cuckoo's I bought from Murray McMurray two years ago laid a very dark red egg. Those eggs lightened as the hen aged. Would love to hear how everyone elses hatchery Marans are doing. Maybe mine are just duds? They are the feather legged type.
