I just wanted to add that I am very happy with the response on this thread... it has surpassed all my wildest expectations! I wish I was in the position to get more eggs now (Cynthia, I'm still hoping for some Blue Orps next month!...) but it sounds like it has helped hook up some good people, and hopefully they're making new friends, too!

I picked up some superb partridge cochin chicks (standard cochins) today from KristenH (Mandy).

Granted, she is close to me, but even so, if she has birds or eggs you'd like to have (or even sheep!), it would be worth the drive.

Her chicks are VERY well taken care of and happy. Friendly and chunky lil monsters, too.

BTW, her slate blue turkeys are really nice. I love the color. If I can figure out where to keep them, I think I'm going to get a few. Beautiful color!!!

Her critters are well fed, well cared for, and the family tries really hard to have superior stock. Kudos to KristenH and her helpers!!!

I got some frizzle cochins from Frizzledhen. They were packaged superbly and arrived completly intact. She's one of the friendliest people I've ever encountered online. Definately two thumbs up.

I got some Salmon Favorelles and Sizzles from Jimnjay. They were packaged very well, they all arived in perfect condition and I have 11 of 14 eggs growing babies in them!! I am very impressed and very happy with the eggs I got from her!!
