I bought hatching eggs from poohevans this year, and can't say enough about this person. Very well packaged, and over a 90% hatch rate. Very honest and trustworthy seller, and I look forward to doing business with again. Thanks!
I have Salmon and Blue Salmon Faverolles, Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas and Golden Cuckoo Marans. They are all exceptional birds for conformation, color and temperment. The very nice eggs colors are a bonus too! I love sharing hatching eggs with friends and family and this year was able to supply eggs to one of our large innercity school districts for hatching in their kindergarten classes(they did better than some of the professionals!).
I also have a large flock of freeranging Easter Eggers that are the nicest flock I have ever seen if I do say so myself. They are all typy for the Ameraucana look but are partridge, salmon, white sport, silvers, etc. I love them best because they were some of my first birds and I have added to the flock carefully over the years. They lay blue, green, pink, lavender. tuquoise, olive, peach, tan and putty colored eggs, what an Easter basket. I raise them orgaincally and sell kitchen eggs form them that are x-large to jumbo although this year I have had many requests for hatching eggs from them as well.
I do ship but really love folks who can come out to the farm and spend time the way greentree (Nancy) was able to. Chicken people are always so nice.
Thank you so much for adding me to the list. And anyone else who would be willing to say can add me too!
Ummm....ahem....Marans??!!??? I was NOT shown those...they BETTER be new....
PasoFinoFarm really is the nicest person to deal with!! I so enjoyed the visit, and would have spent a LOT more time if the animals had not been waiting!
I have 12 chicks of the 14 eggs I bought, and maybe 13. This last one may be pipped!! Great eggs, Melissa!!
They were here... on the end of the breeding pens... we didn't really call attention to them because we are working with a trio of Golden Cuckoo and I am hatching almost every egg I get my little hands on... I do however have 6 I was going to put up on e-bay tonight because I will be on vacation in PA Amish country when they would be hatching! Come and get 'em greentree, my gift to you for being the ONE to finally put me on the LIST!
I ordered e8 eggs from SundownWaterfowl (minpingurl1) and they arrived quickly, and were wrapped extremely well. Have just set them in incubator this week, so will post how the hatch goes.
I ordered 2 dozen eggs from Julie in MI (jab91864) despite the well packing the PO manager to break 4. Julie sweetheart that she is offered to replace them. I refused her offer but very happy that she offered. I set these eggs on April 17th and candled on April 24th out of the 20 eggs 18 had happy moving babies in them, I will candle the others this week because I just couldn't tell. Very happy with our transaction and I will order from her again.
I ordered 1 dozen blue orps from Jim (jimmy47). They arrived today they were very well packaged none were broken and he sent me 3 extras. These will go in the bator tomorrow as they really need to warm up. Still cold in MI LOL. I am very happy with our transaction and I will order from him again.
Add SHORTCAKE TO THE LIST!
I received eggs from Shortcake, Tracy Meade today and they ALL arrived in great shape. She did a wonderful job of packing. She put on the box "Please help us arrive alive" and "Please don't scramble us". The post office noticed this and actually pointed it out to me. Then they started asking questions. At least my post office is now informed about how to handle hatching eggs. GREAT JOB SHORTCAKE! I will deffinately order from her again.
That is a wonderful idea about the stickers! I'll have to remember that when I start packing eggs. I've been documenting all the packages I've received so far to see what works best. It's really hard to figure out sometimes how the eggs get broken when they're packaged so well...
I had added Kourfus Kluckers (Christina) to my original list and it wasn't added so I'm putting her back on here now!!...Eggs arrived from WA to WV from a Friday to Monday morning!!..She packed the eggs very well, none broken...I have 13 developing out of 14 so its in my ballpark now to get them to hatch out!!...
