I'd really rather not -- no offense. It's quite hard on the kidneys, from what I've heard, and my diabetes nutritionists have told me to have at least 120 carbs per day.
Also, too few carbs result in ketones -- and I hate those little things with a passion.
Has your doctor told you to keep a lid on meat/fat consumption? If not, I wouldn't worry about eating meat/fat. Ask her next time you go in. It doesn't take much to pile up 120 grams of carbohydrates. Are you tracking what you eat? My Fitness Pal is very good for that. The free version is fine. I'd pay for the free one if they charged, though. It's that helpful.

Carbs aren't as much of a problem as the *kind* of carbs you choose to eat. Highly refined carbs with fat are the worst; think doughnuts, ice cream, bread. It's not that you can never eat those things, but you have to watch them. Get the great bulk of your carbs from vegetables, minimizing starchy veggies like potatoes, sweet corn, peas... These are good for you, but they do raise your blood sugar more than (for example) broccoli, cauliflower, leafy greens, peppers & so on.

Meat is hard on the kidneys of people who have kidney disease, not on normal, healthy kidneys. If you have compromised kidneys along with the diabetes, you need to follow the diet your doctors prescribe for your various challenges, but if not, there's no need to be afraid of eating meat.

What the eff is your problem? You’ve been at this all day. Don’t you have anything better to do than harass people online? I did a lot today. I ate better than I have in a while, I moved a lot more, I worked (dog sitting), worked on the coop. Today WAS different and I did a lot but I’m not gonna give you a full frickin rundown just because you demand it.
You needs hugs. :hugs

I know they make good sheep killers.
Kitten killers, too. I gave my Aunt Marge a kitten when my Uncle passed. She was SO lonely, and her ancient husky hadn't moved further than between the back door and the food bowl for months. That all changed the instant her heard that kitten. The poor baby barely made it out alive. Sandy is gone now, and Aunt Marge has the most wonderful lap kitty. Huskies and cats ... even 16 year old, blind, nearly deaf huskies and cats, simply do not mix, at least not in my experience. That's a shame, 'cause they're such neat dogs, otherwise.

I need to do that last bit but doubt I will 😂🤣
It honestly wasn't hard. I barely noticed it. Change your buying habits and your diet will be forced to change too.
No purges, no drastic cut-offs. Just buy less junk each time you go. Though, it may be harder for you since you don't do the majority of the shopping in your house, I presume.

When she said "carnivore," I thought that she meant one of those Atkins-style diets where meat makes up some fifty or seventy percent of the diet. I don't know, I don't really looks up diets or anything like that -- I've just been trying to be more active and cut back on portion sizes.
