Have you ever watched any nature documentary or seen animals taking down prey? It is not pretty. Sometimes they don’t even die and just end up maimed. Sometimes they don’t even eat the animal. Often they take them down alive and start eating and then kill them. It is not pretty. It is not nice. Wild animals do not kill each other quickly or humanely. A well placed bullet or arrow or whatever is a lot kinder. Instantaneous death as opposed to being maimed and eaten alive or dying a slow, cruel death of starvation, etc. it’s sad but it’s reality. Nature is not pretty or nice. It is cruel and harsh.

Animals are not here to entertain us and let us kill them.
Also, hunting is not the natural way to control the population. It's necessary now because all of the turkey's natural predators have been hunted to near extinction and driven from their natural habitats.

And you will wonder why you ever liked store donuts in the first place.

You can say that about most things. The answer is, it is easier to buy mass produced stuff than to take the time to make it proper.

You want it. Do you want it now or do you want it good? Choose the good. The world needs more goodness.

Case in point is Banana Nut Bread. I haven't found a store bought one that comes close to the taste and smell of taking one hot out of the oven, smearing butter all over it and lovingly, delicately, and sensuously eating every crumb of it. The anticipation that arises from filling the house with the smell is indescribable.

Should we discuss a good slow smoked cut of wild game compared to a, oh, I don't know, a hamburger patty of unknown provenance?
