Wanting Advice on Hatching Eggs with a broody hen:
I have searched through posts and found a lot on brooder hatching, but nothing on eggs hatching with their mom.
My scovie is sitting on one egg (we ate three and two did'nt develop). We monitor its development weekly. It is now at the last stages where candling will no longer work. I have seen some posts where people say that a lot of ducks die at this point because they cant get out of the shell. Do I trust my hen to do all the right things? I dont want to "leave it to nature". I want to make sure that I know what to do before hand in case there are any complications. Any advice or links will be appreciated.
