Wanting to give away my chicks, but is this an accurate description?

I have 16 chicks that are 3 days old. The mama is a Black Sex link, the Roo is an "Americauna" (EE?) So will the females lay blue eggs? Are they just BSL/EE cross chicks?

Lets see, the black sex link lays brown or white eggs? . Probably the dam is a white egg layer. The Ameraucana sire came out of a hen which laid what color eggs? If the sire's dam lays blue eggs then the chicks should lay blue tinted eggs. If the sire's dam lays green eggs, then the chicks should lay green tinted eggs. Put the word "tinted" in your "sell" line as you do not know yet how dark the color will be.

If the BSL dam lays brown eggs, then the chicks should lay green "tinted" eggs.
advert them as " Black Sex link sire over an Ameraucana hen resulting in chicks which will lay ( name the color) tinted eggs."

The Ameraucana is a purebred breed with a breed Club and recognized by the American Poultry Assoc. . An Easter Egger is a chicken of mixed ancestry which lays colored eggs, usually of some color other than white or brown. Not a breed yet. If you are unsure if the sire is purebred, then just call him an Easter Egger.

I'd advertise them as mixed breed chicks with a chance of laying colored eggs. You can't know for sure with an EE sure, so don't commit yourself.

Thank you!! I am actually not sure if the mother is a BSL or Barnevelder? I have multiple of each...the barnevelders are heavier weighted but I seriously can't tell. Hmm!

Either way, Donrae's advice stands - regardless of which hen is the mother, the chicks are mixed breed with the potential to lay colored eggs.

Clearly I wasn't thinking. She hatched 16 eggs and there were some blue eggs too (meaning EExEE) so they are DEF mixed breeds with who knows whose babies, I have 4 breeds!
