Supposedly if you fix them, they don't stink quite as bad. I've always wanted one, but now that I have birds I know that's likely never to happen

Yep, does not sound like they mix well with the chicks. I had a skunk one time that I raised from a baby and he was really cool. As playful as a kitten. Named him stinky Sorry, got a little off topic there. Have fond memories of him, though.

I also read that if a female doesnt get pregnant within a certain time frame they have issues and normally end up dying......... need to do some more research on that

Did you have to kill them? Could they not be released miles away from your property? Or do they come back?

Yeah, if they aren't fixed. I'm pretty sure they die from blood loss if they don't get pregnant when they go into heat.

I was catching up - didn't realize they were invasive, but I still wouldn't have been able to kill them :/ lol would have probably just adopted them (if release wasn't an option) so I could keep a watchful eye and keep them away from other animals lol.... I couldn't do the kill. Also, they didn't have anything personal against you - just in their nature to kill.

Sad thing though - one time I set up humane traps for rats... went on vacation and forgot to take the traps down and came back and the rats we dead in the traps.... so I've accidentally killed before lol

I'm also really sorry about what they did to your chickens and roosters. Really sad :/ I would be gutted
