Maybe in some areas. Around here it's not so odd. Even in my house there has been the occasional fish, deer heads, rabbit, even a cat. The cat and the rabbit didn't become wall decor, but the others did

We forget how lucky we are in the US when it comes to being able to quickly dispatch a predator. Was a 12 gauge really the best choice for a weasel? No, but it would have been gone by the time I went back for the .22, but at least I had options. Many countries don't allow for firearms in these situations.

I'm thinking that I have caught the 2 culprits.... ferrets are fiercely territorial and won't let others into their space... so I may be safe for a few weeks

Yep, or you scared the **** out of the rest of them and they moved to safer territory!
I mean they were like this dude here doesn't play around!!!
